Follow Captain Judy Rice and Navigator Fred Nauer around the world!
On June 13, 2015, the adventure began when Captain Judy Rice and Navigator Fred Nauer took off to inspire students around the world and share the importance of STEM education through the excitement of a trans-global flight.
Capt. Rice is flying a single engine, piston driven Cirrus SR20 G3, with Garmin Perspective, around the world. Along the way, the Think Global Flight Crew is stopping at cities in numerous countries, enticing students to talk about aviation, aerospace and the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.
Global Student Command Centers are established and managed by students. Each command center is connected to the flight through satellite communications. Each command center has a weather, flight planning and international relations component.
The highly visible, interactive website interconnects students, fans and supporters from around the world.
The promotion of sustainable green technologies will also be a significant component of this adventure.
